Congratulations go to……

Rachael! Well done Rachael for being our star this week!

Our First Star!

All of the children have been fantastic this week but we could only choose one so congratulations go to…..Sean! Well done Sean, you thoroughly deserve to be our star as you have really impressed your teachers this week.

What have Y2 been up to?

Have a peek at some photo’s taken over the course of the week.  The children have been very busy and have produced some lovely writing about when they were a baby and now, painted a picture of themselves, sketched a portrait of a partner, started a science topic on Health and Growth, completed lots of number, discussed social and emotional well being, sang and….played! Oh and they have also been to see Mr Rafferty and Mrs Rowlands now and again to check how they are getting along with their new class!

Our first couple of days!

Well first impressions of Y2 are better than expected according to the children, so we are off to a good start!  Thank you to those of you who have already sent in some very cute baby photo’s of the children and if not, don’t worry there is still plenty of time to do so.  Just a 6″ x 4″ pic would be great thanks.

Hopefully next week we will have some photo’s of the children being busy for you to see on the blog. Watch this space and don’t forget to send us a comment, we’d love to hear from you!

Our end of the day story for the next couple of weeks is: The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark.  It’s all about a very cute owl called “Plop!”

Back to school already!!

Oh no, where did those six weeks go????

We hope you have all had a lovely summer break (despite the lack of sunshine!!) and that you are looking forward to returning to school.  We are really looking forward to seeing everybody and hearing all your news.  Enjoy the last few days and see you soon.

Farewell Infants Hello Juniors!

Well the last week as an infant has now passed and you are all now officially “A Junior!”

We had a lovely last week together and the children really enjoyed their visit to their new classroom. We are very proud of you all and wish you happiness and success for the future.

We would also just like to say a very big thank you for the wonderful good wishes, cards and gifts that we received from you.  We were all overwhelmed by your generosity, as we said to the children it is gift enough to have the privilege of teaching them. So thank you!

Have a lovely summer break and see you all in September.

Lots of love Mrs Brankin, Mrs Reed and Mrs Davies xxx

A Super Star!

Congratulations go to……Georgia!! Well done Georgia for being our star this week.  You are an asset to the class and always try your best.

Another Star!

Congratulations Ben R for being our star this week.  Ben completed a super piece of independent writing all about sports day and he is always cheery and makes us smile.  Well done Ben!

A Double Celebration!

Congratulations go to Jasmine and John this week for being our stars!!!  As we were out last week on our trip we had to have two stars this week.  Jasmine is always smiling and happy and has tried hard this week and John was great during “Y2 has Got Talent” and also has a smile for everyone.  Well done you two!!

Oh We Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside!

Didn’t we have a lovely time the day we went to…….Southport!

The infant day out was simply great! The children were great, the weather was great, the butties were great, everything was..great!

The trip to the seaside fell in nicely with Y2’s latest topic too and the children were able to look at some seaside attractions from yesteryear at the end of the pier.  One or two of the teachers were a bit shocked though to recognise some of the attractions from their childhood!!!

Thank you to all our helpers on the day and also to those who very kindly volunteered their services too.  Enjoy the photo’s.
