It’s Christmas!

10 12 2006

Christmas has well and truly arrived in Y2.

The children have been cutting, sticking and sprinkling lots and lots and lots of glitter!  They have nearly completed their Christmas decorations which are looking pretty spectacular by the way and Mrs Reed has been up the ladder with her garlands making the classroom look very festive indeed.  The Christmas tree is decorated, the fairy lights are on, Mr Rafferty’s fairy lights in Y1 are pretty good… not as good as ours but pretty good, and Mrs Brankin has so far managed to resist the urge to open all the windows on the advent calendar and eat the chocolates (we are still locking it away at night just in case!) So far so good!

In between all the cutting, sticking and glittering, Y2 & Y1 have been rehearsing for the Infant production of “Ralph the Reindeer!”  We have some budding actors in our midst!  A big thank you to all the parents who have provided costumes and to all the parents and grandparents who have given up their time to offer and provide support making costumes. Mrs Cassidy and her sewing machine are exhausted!!

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday….You are in for a treat.  Don’t forget to vote for your favourite song! (See Y1 blog for details).
